Getting you "Hired!" I'm Cheryl Casone with the FOX Business Network.
With 90,000 vets1 coming home this year, they're all goning to need jobs but I want to get to some of the companies that are hiring.
First I want to start with Capitol One Jim Reo right now, Jim, you're senior director, how many jobs do you have open right now for veterans?
(Reo) "We have 2,000 positions open across the U.S."
Okay, and you've got a transition program as well, correct?
(Reo) "Yes, yes. We have a great program. It's a six month onboarding program for military veterans."
Travelers of course is an insurance company this is Jim McMahon, Jim how many jobs do you have open right now?
(McMahon) "We have 950 nationally — Dallas, Denver, Buffalo2 — claim adjusters, investigators3, risk control engineers, nurses. No nights, no weekends, no holidays. It's great for a military nurse to come to us."
Okay this is Evan Guzman — you're head of military programs and veterans affairs for Verizon. How many people are you hiring right now?
(Guzman) "Thousands across the nation. Thousands — they vary from project management, IT, engineering, sales, customer service. Veterans are great at team work, they're energetic, they come to work on time. We just love hiring them. They'er great."
