 　　Peter could see the heavy fleece falling upon the canvas which was spread on the ground, 彼得看见厚厚的羊毛落在地上的帆布上，

　　while Elijah, Mr. Bunker's helper, was carrying wool off to a table to be tied up. 此时，邦克先生的助手以利亚正把羊毛拿到桌子上，准备梱起来。

　　"There! He's finished that one!" cried Ben, as Mr. Bunker stood up and wiped his forehead. 邦克先生站起来擦了擦额头，本喊道“邦克先生完成一只了”。

　　The fleece was shorn from her stomach with a few quick clips of the shears³. 肚子上的羊毛被剪了几下。

　　The boys watched spellbound as Mr. Bunker threw her down, first on one side and then on the other, to shear² her back and sides. 邦克先生把羊给撂倒了，剪完一边之后剪另一边，孩子们看得入迷了。
