National Nurses United says there's no official Ebola protocol¹ in place and nurses do not have the proper gear to safely treat patients. Spokeswoman and intensive care nurse Karen Higgins says health care workers need Ebola training and full Hazmat gear.

(Higgins) "We need to provide what makes the healthcare worker feel safe going in that room. And to do less than that is disgraceful in this country."

Higgins is calling on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to fully² equip health care workers on the front lines of the fight against Ebola.
