　　King George thought he could punish the Massachusetts people as much as he wished without the people of the other colonies objecting. 乔治国王认为他可以随意处罚马萨诸塞人，其他殖民地不会出来反对，

　　It soon appeared that the people of the other colonies sympathized most heartily¹ with the Bostonians. 但是，其他殖民地的人很快给波士顿人以最诚挚的同情，
