About 40 percent of midterm election¹ voters are expected to vote early, many already have in states allowing voting weeks before Election Day: "I think the Goo-goos, the good government types, very strongly believe that early voting is good because it expands the electorate², increases the opportunity. The political scientist will tell you it doesn't actually increase turnout."

But Fox News Decision Desk director Arnon Mishkin expects early voting to continue expand.

Both parties are courting early voters in hopes of guaranteeing support ahead of Election Day.
